Sarnia Jr. Sting
Novice MD Tier 2 loss a close one
The Sarnia Jr.
Sting Novice MD Tier 2 team made another
weekday trip to London. This time to take
on the London Devilettes at Argyle Arena.
The boys were pumped to take on the "all
girls" team as that was evident from the
opening faceoff. Not quite sure if the boys
did not want to out done by the girls or
they were really wishing for their first
victory.
It was
definitely an exciting game to watch. At
the end of the first, the game remained
scoreless. The Devilettes were the first to
get on the board. Scoring in the second.
The Sting continued to apply offensive
pressure and carried the momentum into the
final period.
Curtis Marks "put the biscuit in the basket"
for the Sting to tie the game. Assisting on
the play was Brett Brydges and Nolan DeGurse.
The Devilettes would reply with one of the
own to take the 2-1 lead. With the clock
widing down, the Sting pulled their goalie
to have the extra attacker but were unable
to get the equalizer before the final buzzer
sounded. Final score 2-1 for the girls.
Hats off to all
players, everyone played extremely well and
should be proud of the outcome of this game.
Keep up the good work!!!!
The Sting are on
the ice again, Sunday Nov. 4, 4:00 pm at
Germain when they host the Woodstock
Jr. Navy Vets.
