Sarnia Jr. Sting Novice MD Tier 2
lose another close one
The Sarnia Jr. Sting Novice
MD Tier 2 team travelled to Kinsman Arena
Wednesday night to take on the West London
Hawks.
The boys came into this game
hoping for their second win of the season,
but the Hawks had another plan in
place. First period action saw the game
remain scoreless and shots on net were very
close.
The Hawks were able to get on
the board in the second, and put two past
Sting goalie Jakob Knowles, for a 2-0 lead
at the end of the period. The Sting were
able to continue to dig hard and had scoring
chances of their own. It was Dawson Young
who broke the shut out for the Hawks goalie,
1:20 into the third period. Assisting on
the play was Brett Brydges and Joel Pavey.
The Hawks would reply with one of their own
to make it a 3-1 game. Young would be
credited with his second goal of the game
(short handed) to pull the yellow and black
to within one. Collecting the assist was
Burke Roszell. Unfortunately the boys were
unable to get the equalizer and the final
score was 3-2 for the Hawks.
Next action for the team is
Sunday, December 9th, 4:00 pm at Germain
Arena when they host the Oakridge Aeros.
