The Sarnia Jr. Sting Major Peewee’s had their second game in a week against the North London Nationals in snowy London. Chris Winch started in net and was given a lead in the game on a nice backhand goal by Chase Henne. At the 2:30 mark of the first period, Brendan Hewton set up AP player, Alex Daamen for a 2-0 Sting lead.
In the second period both teams had good rushes but Winch kept the Nationals off the scoreboard. Justin Lindsay broke down the wing and made a nice pass to Brendan Hewton for another Sting goal at the 1:48 mark. Winch made another good save and the score was 3-0 at the end of the second period.
The Sting had some penalties in the third period but were able to successfully kill them off. With 30 seconds left in the game, Lindsay made another nice pass to Hewton and he scored his second goal of the game. Chris Winch earned the shut-out in the Sting 4-0 win. highlights brought to you by: |
