Sarnia Lady Sting vs Windsor
October 20, 2007
The Sarnia Lady Sting Atom "A" team played host to Windsor
Saturday morning at the S.S.E.C. The Sting came out on top
2-0.
All around the Sting played well
against the tight checking from a hungry Windsor team.
Again it was the awesome defense
that smothered and limited Windsor's attack.
The Sting got on the board part
way into the second period on a goal by Bryanne Roberts,
assisting on the play was Kristen Parkes. The game was a
nail biter after that with both sides getting chances. The
Sting received an insurance goal half way through the third
period on a beautiful passing play.
Meagan Blythe picked up her
first of the season after Beatrice Dufour kept the puck in
at the blueline, she dumped it in to Kristen Parkes who in
turn made a great pass out front to Bythe.
Naomi Dubs was solid in net
getting tested by a pesky Windsor team, she would earn her
second shut out of the season in as many tries.
The next action for these girls
is next Saturday October 27th at the S.S.E.C. with two games
against Hamilton (11:15a.m. and 3:15 p.m.)
