The Bantam A Lady Sting had three games this past week, picking up 4 out of a possible 6 points.

Thursday evening the Sting faced the Bluewater Hawks team. Sarnia opened the scoring in the 1st on a beautiful goal by Hanna Molzan. Sierra Butler and Danielle Girards hard work helped pick them up both assist on the play. The score remained 1-0 until the second period when Marlowe Pecora fired a bullet past the goalie on a pass from Hanna Molzan. Only a few seconds into the third wonderful teamwork netted the Sting their third goal of the game by Megan Moore. Her always persistent winger, Jillian Rops got the assist. The Hawks did manage one goal of their own in the third, but that was not enough to stop the tight playing Sarnia Sting lineup. Cassie Kerrigan faced a barrage of shots, making some incredible saves to nail down the win.

On Saturday the Sting were home to the first place Belmont Blazers hoping to gain some ground in the first of two games against them that weekend. Belmont struck first going up 1-0 half way through the first period, but Sarnia answered back on a hard shot from the point by Danielle Girard. It was unassisted. Later that period Alicia MacDougall made a nice move around the defence to go in alone and fire one over the goalie's shoulder. It was also unassisted. The second period never saw any scoring, but unfortunately Belmont slipped one in during the third period to tie the game. The score remained the same for a 2-2 tie. Danielle Lachappelle helped get Sarnia one point against the very tough team from Belmont.

The next day Sarnia was hoping to finally get a win against the undefeated Belmont Blazers, but despite playing another hard fought game a tie was the best they could come up with. Belmont once again drew first blood scoring half way through the second. The Sting came back in the third period on a scrum in front of the net. Shelbi Parizeau picked up the goal and was assisted by Alicia MacDougall. Cassie Kerrigan once again held the opposing team to only one goal.
