The
Sarnia Ice Hawks Junior team earned
a Silver Medal at the London
Blizzard Sledge Hockey Tournament.
The team went 3 - 2 with all three
wins won in shut out with Shawnie
Snell in net.
In the opening game they shut out
Niagara by a score of 6 - 0.
Their second game was a 5 - 0 win
against Edmonton. The Ice
Hawks first loss was against the
Buffalo A team that ended in a 5 - 2
loss. Against the Buffalo B
team they won 3 - 0 and in the
championship game they went up
against the Buffalo A team and took
the 3 - 0 loss to earn the Silver
Medal.
Bryan MacNeil led the scoreboard
with a total of 8 goals. Heather
Stewart wasn't far behind with 6
goals. Dylan Kett and Cole
Campbell each scored one.
Forwards Aaron Ruperd, Daniel
Sazonov, Kyle Rivers and Taylor
White played their forward
position well. Defenceman Jonah
Revenburg, Michael Windsor,
Mitchell Blondin, and Trajan
Petkovic had solid games.

In
Intermediate action the team
went 1 - 2. The team put forth a great
team effort and spirit!
Ben Biermann lead the way with 4
goals, Craig Silverthorn with 3,
and Darcy Haley with 1. Our
strong defence players were
Colby Clatworthy, Adam
Crawford, Robert Hughes and
Tyler Markham. Forward players
were Ashley Jones, Christy
Alexander, Corey McDonald, Evan
O'Brien, and Laura Sitlington.
