Indoor Soccer
Sarnia Fury U18 wins LDYSL Championships
This indoor season the Sarnia fury U18 competed in
the LDYSL soccer league. The players on the team
were from the WOYSL Sarnia Fury outdoor team. Last
year the team travelled to Virginia and competed at
the U.S. National Indoor and came home
champions and have continued to have success both at
indoor and out.This
past week their indoor season came to close when
they played Sporting De London for the championship
at the Dome.
The top two teams battled it
out for first place. The fury's defender Jeremy
Willems scored both goals for Sarnia to win with a
final score of 2-1. This is the first
year that Sarnia put a team into the LDYSL and
finished their year with an impressive 17 games with
13 wins, 2 losses and 2 ties. This group of 11
players will go on to finish their last year
together with the Fury before continuing on their
way to university in the fall.
