Awards Presentation

The Lambton AAA Hockey Association ended their 2008 - 2009 hockey season at their Annual Awards Banquet Thursday night at the Dante Club in Sarnia.

A Plaque presentation was made to Lambton Financial and Tri-County Xerox for their contribution of office equipment to the association.  The Equipment is in place at the office of the Association that is at the SSEC.

Special presentation was made to Past President Mike Jackson for his dedication and service to the AAA Hockey Association as President.  Laurie Waldie was also mentioned and thanked for her dedicated service as Treasurer and Co-coordinator of the Golden Blade Hockey Tournament that is held each year in September.   Domenic Flamminio was awarded the Volunteer of the Year Award.
 

Jalen Day Award

"Love It, Believe It, Do It"
Jalen Day

2008-2009 marked the 5th Anniversary of the Jalen Day Memorial Award. 
Jalen was well known in the community for his courage, determination, dedication and love for hockey.
 Jalen's dream was to become a goalie in the NHL and to win the Stanley Cup.


Paul Burgess, Sean Parker, David Day

Because of Jalen's inspiration to many people in the community the Jalen Day
Memorial Award is presented each year to a goalie who showed the same qualities as Jalen.
Receiving the 2008-2009 Jalen Day Award is Minor Midget goalie Sean Parker.
 

Jeff Perry, Coach of the Major Atom team earned the Coach of the Year Award
along with his team who earned the Team of the Year Award.


 

Micor Sports "Excellence" Awards

Every year each team selects a recipient for the Micor Sports Award to honour their top player who scored
"Excellence" on and off the ice.  Andrew Abercrombie from Micor Sports made the presentations.
