2008-2009 Awards Banquet
The
Petrolia Squires held their
2008-2009 Awards Banquet on Friday
night at the Lions Club in Petrolia.

Award
recipients included Jason Polera for
Leading Goal Scorer, Scott Hull for
Most Sportsmanlike,
Rookie of the Year Award went to
Greg Bailey, Best Defenseman was
awarded to Chris McPhail and Most
Dedicated was presented to Jeremiah
Goodacre.
The MVP award was presented to not
just one person but the award was
presented to the "Most Valuable
Position" and the award went to
goaltenders Justin Day, Steve Bryce
and Darryl Foster. Earlier
this year, the three goalies also
earned
the WOAA Sr Hockey Leauge Award for
best goals against with a record of
51 goals in 20 games
Cards of Thanks for dedicated
service to the team were presented
to Harold Churchill, Todd Jacques,
Ron Goodacre, Tim Hoover and Kent
Helps.
