Petrolia Squires vs Tavistock Royals

Tavistock tied the series 2 - 2 on their home ice Saturday after taking a 8 - 4 win over the Petrolia Squires in  W.O.A.A. South Divsion Finals.

Goals by Wes Kropf, Jason Walsh and powerplay goal by Andrew Oesch put the Royals up 3 - 2 after the first period of play.  Greg Bailey, Craig LaFramboise scored for the Squires.  Helpers on the Squires goals were from Carson Simpson and LaFramboise and Scott Hull.

Period two saw Tavistock widen their lead 4 - 2 after Mark Jennings scored a shorthanded goal.  Petrolia came back and tied with a pair of goals the first on the powerplay by Crhis McPhail from Greg Bailey and Craig LaFramboise and the second by Brad Hull from Mitch Zavitz.

Tavistock regained their lead and never looked back after scoring their second powerplay goal of the game with Andrew Oesch scoring his second goal of the night and the the game winner.

Period three saw Tavistock do more damage after scoring three unanswered goals to secure the win.
The first goal was scored :27 seconds into the period with Tyler Heimple scoring the go ahead goal.  Two back to back powerplays put the game away after Tyler Roth scored the first by Tyler Roth and the second at 18:35 by Jeff Rues.

Darryl Foster took the loss in net for Petrolia making 32 saves.  James Dupej was in for the Royals for the win after making a total of 41 saves.
 

 

Series resumes next Friday back in Petrolia for game 5 at 8:00 pm.  Game 6 is a Saturday April 4 at 8:30 in Tavistock.  If necesary game 7 will be in Petrolia on Tuesday April 6 at 8:00 pm.
