ALVINSTON SHUTOUT BY BELMONT
The Alvinston Indians travelled to
Belmont on a cold Monday evening, to face the Belmont Black
Sox.
The game was all over after 1 hour and 10 minutes, as John
Ferguson threw a 3 hitter for Alvinston, while Todd Winkworth
for Belmont threw a 1 hitter, as Belmont earned a 1-0 win over
Alvinston. Winkworth had the win, with Ferguson suffering the
hard-luck loss.
Scott Smith had the only hit for Alvinston has he smacked a
triple. Mark McCallum drove in Rob Burns for the only run in
the game for Belmont with a sacrifice fly in the 3rd inning.
