ALVINSTON NOTCHES
FIRST WIN
The Alvinston Indians
improved to 1-3 on the young season, after capturing a
win 2 - 0 in Glanworth in St. Thomas and District Major
Fastball League action last evening. John Ferguson and
Brad Young combined for the shutout allowing six hits in
the process, while fanning 9 Glanworth swingers. Andy
Triest was 3/3 for the Indians with two singles, a
triple, and two runs scored. Joe Triest drove in the
first run, while Jamie Shields hit a clutch single up
the middle late in the game to score the second run.
The Indians travel to St.
Clements this weekend for the St. Clements annual
tournament.
The Indians Play Sat morning
at 9:30 am vs Napanee and again at 2:30 VS winner or
Loser of Pt Elgin, Fisherville Game . |
