ALVINSTON DROPS 4-1 DECISION TO ST.THOMAS
Friday evening, the
Alvinston Indians dropped a 4-1 decision on home turf to
the visiting St. Thomas Storm. Brent Crocker drove in
the opening two runs for St. Thomas, while Peter
Babcock smashed a two run homerun to add insurance runs
for St. Thomas. Alvinston loaded the bases in the fifth
inning, but could only muster one run off Storm pitcher
Dan Beecroft, as Chris Drew walked to score Steve Donald
for Alvinston's only run in the game. Dan Beecroft was
the winning pitcher for St. Thomas while Brad
Young suffered the loss on the mound for the Indians.
Next up for the Indians is a double dip on Sunday, when
they host the visiting Glanworth Gators for two games.
