The Alvinston Indians
traveled to Fingal last evening to face the strong
hitting Shedden Mission. The game was scoreless after
seven innings, with John Ferguson for the Indians and
Jason Dawdy for the Mission in a pitchers duel. Shedden
threatened in the seventh, but Brad Young came in for
the Indians to record the final out. With the
international tie-breaker rule in effect in the eight
inning, Brad Young came through with a clutch 2 out hit
, scoring Ryan Chapman for what turned out to be the
winning run, as Alvinston defeated Shedden 1-0. Brad
Young got the win for the Indians in relief of Indians
starter John Ferguson, who allowed only one hit. Jason
Dawdy did the same for Shedden allowing only one hit.
Alvinston now returns home on Thursday evening to face
the Glanworth Gators for an 8pm contest. |
