The Alvinston Indians
improved their record to 3-0 after a 5-3 win over the
Shedden Mission. Chris Drew was the story offensively as
he smacked a grand slam to put the Indians up 4-0.
Shedden clawed their way back, scoring 3 runs to make it
a 4-3 game. That was as close as they would get however,
as Kyle Crawford shut the door on the mound for
Alvinston, pitching 6 innings, allowing 3 runs on 7
hits, with 2 strikeouts, to earn the win. Brad Young
came in in relief in the seventh inning to preserve the
win. Scoring for the Indians were Joe Triest, Brad Young
and Chris drew (2) . Chris Drew had 4 RBI's from the
grand slam, while Aaron Stocking drove in the final run.
Next action for Alvinston is Wednesday in Belmont
against the Brewers for an 8 o'clock meeting.
