Puck Around defeated Lehder
Environmental 9 – 7 and 11 – 6 in Bluewater Major Two
Pitch League action Wednesday night. It was a good
defensive battle between both teams with double plays
being turned in by both squads. Paul Mullins was six
for seven and Mike Landon was five for six in the Puck
Around wins. Lehder’s sole highlight was John Lester’s
three runs batted in.
SIS/Brady’s Bunch handed WMA
promotions a pair of losses 18 – 3 and 22 – 7. SIS’s
Ron Nelson and Jamie Kaldeway led the way with nine hits
each and Dwaine Hirtle collected eight hits with the big
one being a home run to end the game.
The Stoke’s Inland Green
Devil’s continued to roll along defeating Two Amigo’s
Two 29 – 13 and 18 – 0. Two Amigo’s Two started game
one strong scoring six runs in the first, but then the
Green machine took over. Randy Pullen hit a grand slam
in the first inning for Two Amigo’s Two; while Dave
Brown went three for three. The Green Devil’s played
well both in the field on at the plate. Tommy Coyle led
the Green Devil attack with ten hits and two home runs,
Mark Monteiro collected a home run and eight hits, Bruce
Moulton hit a home run and Scott David hit an inside the
park home run.
