May 17, 2007 – Cold and Wet!
It was another cold and damp
night in Wednesday Night Bluewater Major Two-Pitch
league action. The Stoke’s Inland Green Devils defeated
Lehder Environmental 23 – 1. Mark Monteiro was five for
six, while Jay Armstrong, Tom Coyle and Scott David were
all four for five. Tony Manzon was stellar while
playing at the “hot corner.” Lehder was led by Mark
Roehler, going two for two.
SIS Brady’s Bunch handed
Lehder another loss, 18 -5. Corey Murray scored two
RBI’s and Lee Bazely was four for four while Roehler
picked up three more hits in the loss. Ron Nelson led
the SIS attack with four hits and Seth Lippiatt with
three hits including two triples. Waggs used his
aerodynamic blue jeans to streak around the bases.
Two Amigo’s picked up a pair
of wins, defeating WMA Promotions 9 – 8 and Two Amigo’s
2 15 – 7. John Vanderwal went four for four in the
opener; while Brent Smith was four for four and Dan
Bullock hit a home run. Two Amigo’s 2 Randy Pullen hit
home runs in both games.
Puck Around had offence from
Rick Caudle, three home runs and Jeff Loosemore, two
home runs in wining both games, 24 – 11 over Two Amigo’s
2 and then 13 – 6 over WMA Promotions.
