May 23 – SIS/Brady wins Twice!

The weather was on the side of two pitch players Wednesday night as it was a great night to be at the Clearwater diamonds for Bluewater Major Two Pitch league action.

SIS/Brady picked up a pair victories defeating Two Amigo’s 2 13 – 7 and then defeating WMA Promotions 16 – 7.  Bruce Helps, father and son duo, Ron and Jeff Nelson all picked up four hits on the night; while Carlo Decan did his best diving techniques on getting down right dirty on defense.  Two Amigo’s 2 were led by Derek Wark, three for three with two triples.

 Lehder Environmental split their games defeating Two Amigo’s 15 – 11 and then losing 20 – 12 to Puck Around.  In the Lehder win, Kevin Battle hit his first home run of the season pacing the team to victory.  Brian Kabat had four runs batted in; while Chris Luke and Jim Lapointe each went four for four.  Jim Lapointe and Mike Vasey both went three for three in the Lehder loss to Puck Around.  Craig Chalmers and John Vanderwal both went three for three in the Two Amigo’s loss.  Puck Around hit three home runs, Rick Caudle, Paul Mullins and Dan Devo; while Rob Cooper and Wayne Howie each went four for four.

The Stoke’s Inland Green Devils were led on offence by Rich Verwegen, four for four; while Mike Dark and Bruce Moulton each hit home runs in the 18 – 7 win over WMA Promotions.  Jay Armstrong had a great night in left field making every catch that came his way.

Action continues next Wednesday night at the Clearwater Diamonds at 6:30pm.
