Sarnia
Braves Major Mosquitoes win on a Steal Home
A delayed steal of
home by Kobe Lundy in the bottom of the seventh
inning gave the Sarnia Braves Major Mosquitoes 1
a walk off 10 to 9 win over North London Major
Nationals in LDBA baseball action on Monday at
Tecumseh Park. The Nationals had taken a 3 run
lead in the top of the seventh by scoring 4 runs
in the inning. It could have been worse for the
Braves except for a spectacular over the
shoulder catch by Sam McCormack on a well hit
ball to left field. The Braves came back with 3
runs on four hits and 2 walks in the bottom of
the seventh and setting up the bases
loaded delayed steal by Kobe as the ball was
being returned to the pitcher resulting in the
win. DJ Lussier, Richard McIntosh, Travis Moore
and Kobe Lundy shared the pitching duties for
Sarnia. Travis also led the offence with 3 hits
and 2 runs. Kyle Adams also had three hits with
a RBI. Each team had 16 hits in the game.
