Sarnia Midget Braves win 4 on the weekend!
 

The Sarnia Midget Braves hosted the EEBA Minors Friday evening at Errol Russell Park.  EBBA opened the game with 3 runs off 1 hit and errors by the Braves.  In the bottom of the third #23 Corey Brown's RBI double brought the score to Braves 1, EBBA 3.  In the bottom of 4 Sarnia scored 5 runs off walks, errors, and singles by # 7 Wade Babula, #3 Rory Fell, and #16 CJ Donahue.  The Braves scored again in the 6th to bring the final score to EBBA 3, Braves 7.  #27 Anthony Shepherd pitched 5 innings  with 1 hit and 8 k's.  #4 Jeff Drexler pitched the 6th and had 1 hit and 3 K's.
 

In WCBA play on Saturday the Sarnia Midget Braves hosted Chatham in a double header on Saturday at Errol Russell Park.  In the first game #29 Justin McCarthy pitched seven innings for the 8 - 1 win; he had 10 k's.   At the plate #12 Patrick McKay had 2 singles, McCarthy had a single, and #16 C.J. Donahue was 3 for 4 with singles.  Sarnia left 10 men on base throughout the game but did capitalized on errors by Chatham for the win.
 
In game #2   Chatham was the first to score with 3 runs in the top of the 5th.  After leaving bases loaded in both the 3rd and 5th innings the Braves finally scored a single in the 6th leaving a runner in scoring position.  Chatham led 3 - 1 going in to the bottom of the 7th.  Sarnia once again capitalized on errors by Chatham and went on to win the game with RBI singles by #4 Jeff Drexler and #3 Rory Fell.    #12 Patrick McKay, #27 Anthony Shepherd, and #16 C.J. Donahue each had singles and Drexler had 2 singles.  Pitching for Sarnia was #25 Ryan Pavey.  Final score:  Chatham 3, Sarnia 4
 
On Sunday Sarnia played in Wallaceburg.  Wallaceburg opened the game with a run in the first.  After leaving a runner in scoring position in the second, Sarnia finally scored 2 runs in the 4th to take the lead.  On base with singles #7 Wade Babula and #12 Patrick McKay scored off #3 Rory Fell's single. An error by Wallaceburg scored  #23 Corey Brown's single in the 6th.  Fell singled again and #16 C.J. Donahue's single brought home Fell.  The final score was Sarnia 5, Wallaceburg 1.
