The Sarnia Braves Peewees
hosted the undefeated Oakridge club in London and
District league play and came away with the upset
win 7-6. Vince Cashera started and still on a
limited pitch count went 1 inning allowing no runs
with 1 strikeout. Mitch Bigras pitched 2 innings
with 3 strikeouts and 3 runs allowed. Jesse Marks
went the next 3 innings giving up 3 runs with 2
strikeouts. Tyler Whitbread closed out the game with
1 strikeout and 0 runs allowed. Sarnia scored 2 runs
in the third on 4 straight hits by Colton Bond, Sam
Ellenor, James Pavey and Tyler Whitbread(2R.B.I).The
boys scored 5 more in the 5th and 6th on hits by
James Pavey,Vince Cashera and Shane Remes.
Next up is the AAA Courtright
Tournament where the boys will be in tough against
older and stiffer competition. This tournament is a
good tuneup for next weeks Brantford Tourney. First
game is 3:30 Friday followed by opening ceremonies
at 6:00 p.m.
