Sarnia Peewee Braves have 2 big
comebacks to gain a 16-16 tie
The Sarnia Peewee Braves tie Strathroy in London and
District league play Thursday night. Strathroy jumped
out to a 10-4 lead early as Tristan Buntrock got the
start for Sarnia. Buntrock is charged with 10 runs (only
4
earned)4 strikeouts in 3 innings of work. Sarnia came
right back and plated
7 runs of their own in the 3rd to take a 1 run lead.
Strathroy then scored
6 more over the next 3 innings so going into the
braves last at bat they were down 5. Sarnia was able to
take advantage of Strathroys lack of pitching depth and
score 5 to tie the game. Tyler Groulx,James Pavey, and
Tyler Whitbread pitched the final 3 innings combining on
6 strikeouts and 6 earned runs. At the plate Hayden
Mclean was 2 for 2 with a triple, Mitch Bigras had 2
hits and Colton Bond scored 3 times. The team is in
London Friday night to take on Southwest and on Sunday
versus Oakridge.
