The Braves
give up a pair in exhibition play
The
Windsor Stars Minor Bantams "AAA" came to Sarnia for
an exhibition doubleheader and came away with a 2
wins, 6-1 and 2-1. The bats for the Braves were
pretty much silent for the two games, but defense or
lack of it was the difference in the 2 games.
In game one, Dom Bucci and Josh McCaig shared
pitching duties, pitching well, and only allowing 4
hits while striking out 5 Windsor batters. A couple
of missplayed fly balls allowed 4 of the Windsor
runs to score and was the difference in the game. At
the plate, Sarnia managed only 4 hits with Austin
Lanteigne hitting a double, and Dom Bucci, Josh
McCaig, and Jake Marks connecting for singles. The
Braves struck out 7 times. In game two, scoreless
until the 4th inning, Sarnia made a throwing error
with the bases loaded to allow Windsor it's only 2
runs. Austin Lanteigne, Jake Marks, and Curtis
Robichaud shared pitching duties for the Braves
allowing only 1 hit, striking out 8 , and walking 3
hitters. At the plate, Sarnia managed only 2 hits -
singles by Austin Lanteigne and an rbi single by
Arron Sisson.
The Bantam Braves next action is Tuesday in
St.Thomas.
