Bantam Braves come up short in Windsor on the
weekend
Sarnia Bantam Braves
competed in the Windsor Walker Homesites Wood
Bat tourney on the the weekend coming up a
little short, losing to arch-rival London
E.B.B.A. in the final 4 - 0.
The road to the
finals began with a 12 - 0 win over Belle River
on Friday night. They then defeated Windsor
Riverside Saturday morning 3 - 0. The next game
featured a nail biter with the Braves falling to
Windsor Stars 3-2 on Saturday afternoon in the
blistering heat.
After seedings were
finalized for the playoff round on Sunday -
Sarnia ( seeded # 2 ) faced Windsor Stars (
seeded # 3 ) again, this time coming out on top
5 - 3. This led to the final matchup with # 1
seeded London. London scored a run in the 1st
inning, 2 in the 5th inning, and 1 in the
seventh inning . Sarnia stranded several runners
on base, failing to get the key hits when needed
in the game.
Next action for the Bantam Braves is this
Thursday at 7:30 pm. vs. Komoka at Errol Russell
Park.
