Rain delayed the start
of the Sarnia Braves Major PeeWees game at Tecumseh
Park Thursday by about 20 minutes but in the end the
game was shortened anyway by a 12 to 1 mercy by the
Braves over the Warriors in five innings. Jordan
Pavey pitched four strong innings for the win giving
up the one run on one hit. Brandon Shanks closed out
the game in relief allowing no hits and ended the
game by picking off a walked runner at second base.
The Braves scored their runs on 11 hits and 2 walks.
Jordan helped his own cause with a single and a
double scoring a run and driving in 2. Brayden
Thomas drove out a single and a double and drove in
1 run as well as scoring 1. Jason Verwegen was hot
as well on offence with two hits, two runs scored
and an RBI.
