Bounce back from Previous Loss

Sarnia Braves Major
PeeWees defeated EBBA in London District Baseball
action by the score 8 to 2. It compensated for an 11
to 6 loss last week to the same team in Sarnia. The
Braves scored 4 in the first and 4 in the third to
account for all their scoring while giving up the
only two runs in the first. Yenel Olivero pitched
for the win recording five strikeouts and allowing
no hits. The two runs by EBBA were unearned. Brandon
Shanks worked a strong three innings of relief
allowing no runs on only 1 hit and striking out 3.
Mat Szabo was the only
player to drive out more than one hit with two
singles and two runs scored. Devin Butler, Richard
McIntosh, Jason Verwegen and Drew Morgan had the
other four hits. Josh Turner turned in a solid
defensive performance at first base while Jason
snagged a difficult line drive and doubled off the
runner at second by himself to end the game.
