The Sarnia Steelers
got off to another slow start falling behind against
Highgate 8 - 2 after 2 innings of play in the Central
Lambton Fastball
League.
The Steelers showed
their determination and battled back throughout the game
with aggressive and smart base running to tie the game
11 - 11.
Sarnia had their
opportunity in the bottom of the 7th with the winning
run on 3rd base but were shutdown by the Highgate
pitcher. All the
ladies contributed in the game putting in a good team
effort.
The Steelers next
and final regular season game is Wednesday, August 4th
against undefeated Dutton, 8:30 pm @ Germain #5.
The Steelers will then
take part in the year end tournament being held August
7-8-9 at Krall Park.
