The Sarnia Steelers
Ladies Fastball team has gone 3 - 1 in recent action.
Sarnia lost it second game of the year to a very
determined Courtright team 16 - 7. This lose seemed to
get the ladies going as they went on to win their next 3
games.
Sarnia came to play in
their next game against Wyoming scoring 6 runs in the
first inning and went on to win the game 20 - 10. Taylor
O'Neil played an excellent game by pitching 6 complete
innings and making three great defensive plays.
In the 3rd game Sarnia
took on Oil Springs which handed Sarnia their first lose
of the year
earlier in the season. This was a well played game by
both teams as the lead went back and forth. Sarnia was
down 13 - 10 going into the top of the last inning. The
Steelers scored 6 runs to take a 16 - 13 lead. Bridget
Folk then shutdown the Oil Spring offence and Sarnia
held on for the 16 - 13 win.
In the final of the 4
games Sarnia took on Kettle Point and came out on the
winning end of a 14 - 10 game.
Alex Beveridge and
Taylor O'Neil combined for the win.
Lauren Elviage got
Sarnia of to a good start in the first inning by hitting
a in the park home run. Brittany Quackenbush had a great
day at the plate going 3 for 3 with a double and two
triples, driving in six runs. |
