Sarnia Steelers Peewee

Girls Fastball

The Sarnia Steelers Ladies Fastball team has gone 3 - 1 in recent action.  Sarnia lost it second game of the year to a very determined Courtright team 16 - 7. This lose seemed to get the ladies going as they went on to win their next 3 games.

Sarnia came to play in their next game against Wyoming scoring 6 runs in the first inning and went on to win the game 20 - 10. Taylor O'Neil played an excellent game by pitching 6 complete innings and making three great defensive plays.

In the 3rd game Sarnia took on Oil Springs which handed Sarnia their first lose of the year earlier in the season. This was a well played game by both teams as the lead went back and forth. Sarnia was down 13 - 10 going into the top of the last inning. The Steelers scored 6 runs to take a 16 - 13 lead. Bridget Folk then shutdown the Oil Spring offence and Sarnia held on for the 16 - 13 win.

In the final of the 4 games Sarnia took on Kettle Point and came out on the winning end of a 14 - 10 game. Alex Beveridge and Taylor O'Neil combined for the win. Lauren Elviage got Sarnia of to a good start in the first inning by hitting a in the park home run. Brittany Quackenbush had a great day at the plate going 3 for 3 with a double and two triples, driving in six runs.
