Wyoming Midgets lose two one
run games in recent Western County
action.
The
Wyoming Midgets played a double header
against the Sarnia Braves in Sarnia
recently and lost both games by one run
as follows:
July
5th - Game 1

Mitch
Robb pitched a great game only allowing
4 hits while striking out 9.
Unfortunately, Sarnia also had strong
pitching and
Wyoming
was only able to record 4 hits.
Cory
Steadman began the game with a double
and scored on Russ Muhlig's
single
to record the team's only run of the
game.
Muhlig
also singled in the 4th and
Steadman singled again in the 5th.
Mitch
Robb also recorded a single.

This
was a tough loss as Wyoming was able to
score 4 in the 1st and 4 more in
the 2nd
to jump out to an early 8 - 0 lead.
Unfortunately Sarnia scored 4 in
the 3rd
and 5 more in the 4th to take and hold
onto a one run lead.
Russ
Muhlig pitched late into the 4th inning
and was relieved by Tim Boersma.
Aaron
Gibbings had an amazing day at the plate
going 4 for 4 with a triple,
a
double and 2 singles. Muhlig hit a
double and a single while Chris Bright
connected for 2 singles. Also recording
singles were Scott Fowler,
Tim
Boersma and Ben Dupuis.
Trevor
McCormick walked twice and scored 2
runs. Wyoming's other runs
were
scored by Fowler (2), Bright (2) and
Muhlig (2).
