In recent
London League action the Wyoming Midgets
lost their 1st game of the season.
The team
chose to get various pitchers some work in
preparation for the tournament
they
were
leaving for the next day. Tim
Boersma, Jared Vanruitenburg and Mitch
Robb
pitched two
innings
each while Ben Dupuis
closed out the game.
Wyoming
bats were able to put together 10 hits in
the game but also stranded 10 base runners.
Their only
run of the game came in the 4th inning on a
solo home-run off the bat of Chris Bright.
The score
remained tied at 1 until the 6th when Sarnia
scored 2 and then scored 4 more in the 7th.
Wyoming was
able to load the bases in both the 6th and
7th innings but were unable to score any
runs.
Scott
Fowler connected for a double and a single.
Steve Gray recorded a double
while
individual singles went to Chris Bright,
T.J. Kennedy, Russ Muhlig,
Mitch Robb,
Aaron Gibbings and Ben Dupuis.
