WYOMING MIDGET BASEBALL TEAM'S RECORD STANDS AT
10-2-1 AFTER KINCARDINE TOURNAMENT

The Wyoming Midget's finished their 1st tournament of the season with a tie,
loss and a win as follows:

June 14th - Wyoming 6 - North London 6

Wyoming jumped out to an early 3 - 0 lead but allowed North London to score 5 in
the 2nd and 1 more in the top of the 6th and take a 6 - 3 lead.  Wyoming was able to get 3
back in the bottom of the 6th to tie the score.  North London had last bats but could not break the tie.

Adam Casier started on the mound but was relieved by Tim Boersma.

Steve Gray and Scott Fowler each connected for a double.  Singles were recorded
by Chris Bright, Ben Dupuis, Russ Muhlig, Mitch Robb and Adam Casier.

June 15th - Wyoming 0 - Owen Sound 2

This was a tough loss as Russ Muhlig pitched a very strong complete game allowing only one
earned run.  He allowed a total of 4 hits and struck out 7.  Wyoming's offense put the ball in
play but just could not find any holes (they only struck out once the whole game).

As well as pitching a great game, Muhlig recorded Wyoming's only 2 hits (a double and a single).

June 15th - Wyoming 8 - Kincardine 7

The team's 3rd game of the tournament was a see-saw battle with Wyoming coming
out on top against a very strong Kincardine team.

Mitch Robb pitched 5 1/3 innings, striking out 6 but had to be relieved when he
reached his maximum pitch count for the day.  Tim Boersma came on in relief.

Wyoming scored a run in the 3rd but gave up 2 in the top of the 4th.  Wyoming scored 5 more
in the top of the 5th but gave 2 back in the bottom of the 5th holding on to a 6 - 4 lead.
Kincardine scored 3 in the top of the 6th to take a 7 - 6 lead but, in an exciting finish,
Wyoming scored 2 more with their last bats to win the game 8 - 7.

Trevor McCormick and Tim Boersma each hit 2 singles.  Ben Dupuis connected for a double
and Chris Bright hit a ground-rule double (one-hop over the fence in centre field).
Singles were recorded by Russ Muhlig, Mitch Robb and T.J. Kennedy.

McCormick had 3 RBI's and Boresma scored 3 times.
