The Wyoming Midget
Baseball team only managed one win in
the London District
Baseball Association playoffs.
The Wyoming Midgets
lost a tough 1st game to the Sarnia Braves by a
score of 4 - 3.
Sarnia scored one
in the 1st and one in the 4th with Wyoming coming
back to tie it up at two in
the 5th on a
two-run homerun on Sarnia errors. Sarnia then
scored two more in their half of the 5th.
Wyoming was only
able to get one in the 6th leaving the score at 4 -
3.
Their 2nd game of
the double knockout tournament was an easy win
against the EBBA Majors by a score of 17 -1.
Wyoming scored five in the 1st, four in the 3rd and
eight in the 4th. Most of the runs were unearned.
Wyoming then lost
to Oakridge by a score of 9 - 7. Oakridge began by
scoring one run in the 1st with Wyoming replying
with one run in the 2nd to tie the score. A sloppy
4th allowed Oakridge to score four runs. Wyoming
was able to get three runs back in the 5th and 6th
innings but Oakridge scored four more runs in the
6th and 7th innings making the score 9 - 4. Wyoming
made a bit of a come-back scoring three in the 7th
but the game ended with Oakridge on top 9 - 7.
To cap off the
season, Wyoming will participate in their O.B.A.'s
this weekend in Amherstburg.
