This
past weekend in the Brantford A &
Under Peewee Tournament, Wyoming won
1 and lost 2 against very good
competition.
On Friday night, Wyoming fell to
Guelph 12-5. Saturday morning, they
rebounded and trounced Cambridge
15-5. In that game, Brent Shepley
and Caleb Vanruitenburg both did a
great job on the mound. Both of
them also helped lead the hitting
attack with 2 hits, as did Ian
Kerrigan and Eric Jamieson. Joey
Vanderwal chipped in with a home
run.
In their final game, Wyoming lost a
close 6-4 decision to Woodstock.
After Woodstock had scored 5 runs in
the top of the first, Eric Steeves
came on in relief & shut the door
the rest of the way, striking out
10. However, Wyoming's comeback
fell short.
Next action for the Peewees is
Tuesday night at St. Mary's.
