The Valhalla Vikings, Major
Bantam Boys (U14), brought home Provincial
gold on April 27, 2008 defeating Core City
(Windsor) in the final match 57-50. The
boys were undefeated at the Provincials with
a 6-0 record beating out Scarborough,
Etobicoke, Waterloo, Toronto (last years
winner), Brampton and Windsor for the top
prize.
This Provincial win caps off a stellar
basketball season for the boys with nine
tournaments and nine medals including 6
gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze!
Exceptional defensive play, outstanding
offense and key 3-pointers ruled the day. |
