Willis make World Cup Final in Maribor Slovenia
 

Maribor Slovenia - Emma Willis, 16 of the Bluewater Club Qualified for the floor Final at her World Cup Debut, in Maribor Slovenia. Emma is representing Canada at her first world cup event, and found herself tied for the 5th position just 0.2 out off the medal place.   "In the finals the eight athletes that qualified start from a clean slate, competed again to determine the medal winners." said her coach Elizabeth Brubaker. "Of course we knew she is in contention, but this is a win win for Emma. If she does better in the finals that is great, if she doesn't we just chalk it up to experience, after all it is her first World Cup. She just became Eligible as an International Senior".  Willis ended up in 7th spot after the final.

Willis will continue her quest for Olympic points, immediately upon her return to Canada. Her plane will land briefly, but after a few days home she will be on her way to Houston for a 1 week camp and competition with 3 other "Canadian Olympic Hopefuls" in a Dual meet with USA at the Karolyi Ranch in Houston Texas.
