We skated our long this morning and it went really well. We had a personal best score of 79.97 and an overall total of 120.84. We placed 7th in our long program which moved us up to 10th overall. We got to see some great skating and had lots of fun cheering on the rest of our team today. Looking forward to getting home though! Thanks for all of your support, hope to see you soon!

Hi!

Well we competed our short program this morning and it went well except for an error on our side by side jump. We are currently in 13th place out of 22 teams with 40.54 points. It is a very strong event, we saw some great teams from China and Russia - lots to work towards! This afternoon we are cheering on the dance teams and ladies and then getting ready for our long tomorrow! We'll send an update after the long! Catch you on the flip flop!

Hello from Germany!

We flew over night on Monday from Toronto to Frankfurt and then to Dresden, which is a beautiful old city on the Elbe river. We went walking through the city a bit with our coach and then it was off to the team Canada dinner! We had an excellent meal at Vapiano where we got to meet some of our judges, our team leaders and the other Canadian team members.

Wednesday morning we went to the arena for our first practice which went really well. The facility in Dresden is incredible. They have a huge centre that they use for all different kinds of sports. Basketball, tennis and soccer were all working out today as well as the short track speed skaters that were actually training on the ice right before us. Really fun to watch! We went to the official draw where we drew lucky number 13 to skate our short on friday! There is a very strong field of 22 pair teams here and it should be an exciting event! Hope all is well at home. Just practice and sightseeing again tomorrow but we will check in again!

Bye for now,

Mike and Margaret
