Seventeen year old Michael
Marinaro of the Point Edward Skating Club and his partner 14
year old Margaret Purdy of the Watford Skating Club will be
starting their competitive season with an exciting event
this year. They have been chosen by Skate Canada to attend
the ISU Junior Grand Prix in Torun, Poland.

Margaret and Michael leave for Poland September 7th. They
will be there for one week competing against 17 teams from 9
different countries. Michael and Margaret are also listed as
substitute entries for the Junior Grand Prix in Lake Placid,
USA. Michael and Margaret train at the Competitive Skating
Centre of Strathroy with Scott Rachuk and Alison Purkiss.
What an exciting start to their season!
Michael is the son of Beverley
and Albert Marinaro of Sarnia and the brother of Rob and
Joe. Margaret is the daughter of Lyn and Brad Purdy of
Strathroy, Ontario and the sister of Cameron. |
