Week 5
October 25, 2009
Lambton Metal Service Rampage - 22 vs.
Bluewater Power Titans - 19
Every dog has their day and every
champion must know defeat....so too did
it occur today in week 5 regular season
games of the Sarnia Flag Football
Association played on October 25 at
Lansdowne Park in Sarnia as the underdog
Lambton Metal Service Rampage upset the
Bluewater Power Titans by a score of 22
to 19. The Titans played short handed
but were almost able to hold off the
Rampage charge but fell short in the 4th
quarter.
Scoring for the Rampage were QB Devon
Johnson, Sean Devereaux and Cole
Seabrook. For the Titans, majors were
scored by 2 from Jim Grasse and a single
from Teppa Wettergreen.
The
Razorbacks - 25 vs. The Falcons - 15
Still searching for their first win of
the 2009 season, the Falcons fell short
against the Razorbacks by a score of 25
-15 in the second game of the day. In
an exciting, fast paced game, the score
was close through much of 3 quarters and
it looked like there would be a second
upset of the day however the Razorbacks
would not be undone.
Leading the scoring for the Razorbacks
was offensive lineman Gee Hagan with 2
majors including one off a blocked punt
that Hagan picked up and ran in. With
Hagan scoring the 2 TD's, he ties the
SFFA league record for most TD's in a
single game by a O-lineman. Also
scoring for the Razorbacks were Andy
MacDonald and Micah McCaskill.
For
the Falcons, TD's were scored by James
Sandy and Shane Matheiu.
November 1 games will pit the Bluewater
Power Titans against the Razorbacks at
11:00 while the Lambton Metal Service
Rampage will take on the Falcons at
1:00.
