At the half both sides
were even with a score of 27-27.
Oshawa went on to score 3 unanswered
touchdowns in the second half to go
ahead and finish with a 48-27 victory.
The Imperials fell short 3 times within
the red zone with one being a
controversial call at the end of the
first half to stop a scoring drive when
the clock had an "issue" and time ran
out.
Matt Browning ran for 180 yards-17
carries with 3 touchdowns. 53, 25 and 11
yard rushes for TD's.
Adrien Brown rushed for 1 Touchdown on a
6 yard scamper. He also had 15 carries
for 69 yards rushing. Shared Quarterback
duties with Pat Wright. Adrien threw 3
for 7--81 yards. Pat Wright threw 5 for
11------102 yards.
Leading the defense was Clifton "PJ"
Jackson with 4 tackles and 1 fumble
recovery. Norman Yellowman had 2 tackles
with 1 interception with a 22 yard
return. Chad VanBarneveld and Mike Heber
both added fumble recoveries to assist
the defense.
The Imperials are back
in action on Saturday July 19 for their
final regular season home league game
when they host the Toronto Raiders at
Norm Perry Park. Kick off at 7:00
