Kevin Allaer
has dominated NCAA and MIAA books by setting numerous
collegiate and marks. Born in Wallaceburg, Ontario,
Allaer attended Wallaceburg High School where he
excelled in being the modern place-kicker in accuracy
and distance.
During his
high school career, Allaer was invited to play on the
All-Star team in 2005 as well as being named the Special
Teams MVP in 2005, 2006, and 2007. After being recruited
by Adrian College his senior year, Allaer committed
himself to becoming to the game, surpassing all
competition that may stand in the way.
Allaer
played in six games as a freshman, registering 25 punts
for 1,007 yards for an average of 40.3 yards per punt.
He had a season-long punt of 73 yards against Hope as a
freshman, ranked third in MIAA for average yards per
punt, and was named week eight MIAA Special Teams Player
of the Week.
His sophomore year brought back around rewarding
accomplishments as Allaer helped Adrian rank 85th out of
231 Division III schools in net punting. Only a
sophomore at the time, Allaer averaged a season-high of
43.2 yards per punt on five attempts, naming him once
again the MIAA player of the week.
Allaer
played an important role in Adrian's wins during his
junior season, being named Special Teams Player of the
Week, the fifth time during his career.
