Sturgeon Defeated by Top Ranked Cougars

The number 1 ranked Peewee football team in the province came to Sarnia on Sunday to face the hometown Sturgeon.  The Chatham-Kent Cougars showed why they are undefeated, scoring an impressive 40-0 victory over the 3-3 Sturgeon.  The Sturgeon fought hard and showed definite improvement since their opening game loss in Chatham.

The Sturgeon offence was able to move the ball effectively at times, but big plays on defence by the Cougars ended some impressive drives.

 
The Sturgeon, who are currently in third place, look to rebound against the fourth place Toronto Junior Argos next Sunday at Norm Perry Park with the kick-off scheduled for 
12 o'clock.
