Sturgeon PeeWee's Now 3-1
June 27, 2010

The Sarnia Sturgeon Peewees returned from Oakville Sunday after a hard fought 18-14 victory over the determined Titans.  The victory completed a three game weekend sweep for the franchise, the first in their history.  Oakville hit the board first and a successful convert staked the home team to an 8-0 lead.  The Sturgeon stormed back with 18 unanswered points thanks to 2 majors by Jamie Campbell and 1 by Josh Kita.  Oakville scored again in the second half which set up an exciting finish.  Mitch Damchuk, a stalwart on the Sturgeon defense all game, made a game sealing backfield tackle late in the fourth quarter, putting an end to the Titan's final drive.

Jamie Campbell led the Sturgeon offense, rushing for over 100 yards.  Key passes from quarterback Keyshaun Jordan to Dylan Fais and James Grift contributed to the balanced offense.

On Saturday the Sturgeon travel to London to face the Forest City Thunderbirds, who are also sporting a 3-1 record, in a mid-season battle for second place.
