Sarnia Golf and Curling club member Ethan O'Meara advanced to the second-round of the Investors Group Ontario Junior Boys' Championship at the Cataraqui Golf & Country Club with a 6 & 5 win over Brandon Pearce of Cambridge, Ont.

O'Meara will tee off against Sterling Emery of Orangeville Ontario on day two.

At the Investors Group Ontario Junior and Juvenile Girls’ Championship at Barcovan Golf Club near Carrying Place, Ontario Sarnia's Nicole McDonald is tied in 11th place in the Juvenile Girls Division after a 42-46-88 +16 first round.  McDonald is a member at Huron Oaks Golf Club.

Round two action continues Wednesday in both championship tournaments.
