The Major Atom Jr. Sting were at home Monday night for a game against the Elgin-Middlesex Chiefs.

Jameson Hart got the Jr. Sting on the board first, snapping home a power play goal mid-way through the first period. Max Steeves staked the home squad to a 2-0 lead on a nice individual effort to end the first period.

EMC got one back in the second to set up an exciting third period. Lambton and Elgin-Middlesex went back and forth early in the third before the Chiefs got the equalizer with just under five minutes to go in the game. That gave them the lift required and they scored again with just under four minutes to go. Lambton pulled goalie Ethan Hunt in the dying moments but were not able to score and Elgin-Middlesex iced it with an open net goal.

The Jr. Sting were again without one defenceman who is out with an upper body injury and one forward who is also out with an upper body injury.

Max Steeves and Jameson Hart each had 1 goal. Nick DiScanno had 1 assist.
