Major Peewees Split Games on Weekend

On Saturday, October 24, the Major Peewees travelled to Stratford to play the Huron-Perth Lakers. With only 12 healthy skaters available to play, Lambton gave up one goal in the first and three in the second, but found some momentum and came back to score three of its own. Although Travis Moore was strong in net, the final score was 4-3 for Huron-Perth, but the boys gave a valiant effort. Scoring for Lambton were: Brett Corrigan, assisted by Ethan Jacobs; Dillon Saunders from Zach Van Eyk & Brett Corrigan; and Blain Adams, assisted by Zach Van Eyk.

On Sunday, October 25, the Major Peewees headed to Brantford with a full team back on the bench. The team showed strength early in the game, scoring two in the first period and another in the second. Goaltender, Riley Collins, blocked some great shots, but Brantford showed some strength of its own, scoring three quick ones in the second. Lambton pulled out one more goal in the third to win the game 4-3. Scoring for Lambton were: Brett Corrigan from Sam McCormack; Sam McCormack from Zach Van Eyk and Tim Kaldeway; Dillon Saunders assisted by Ethan Jacobs; and Jake Mott, set up by Brett Corrigan and Tim Kaldeway.

The Lambton Jr Sting Major Peewees will play next on Sunday, November 1 at the SSEC at 12:15 against Brantford and Monday, November 2 at the SSEC at 6:45 versus Elgin-Middlesex.
