Lambton Shores Home Opener
In the home opener with
over 300 fans in attendance The Lambton Shores Predators
dropped a 5 - 1 decision to the Chatham Maroons.
The Predators have made
a lot of changes to their roster this year adding
several young players from around the area. In
net the team acquired Matt Simon an 18 year old
American and Sean Parker who played Minor Midget AAA
last season and was drafted in the Priority
Selection by the Sarnia Sting in the 12th round.
Simon got the start in
net for the Predators and faced 45 shots. For
the Maroons, Mike Ostropolec went the distance
facing 30 shots.
Chatham lead 2 - 1 after
the first period with Mike Rivard and Blake Blondeel
scoring. Lambton Shores loan goal in the game
was scored by Duncan MacSorley, his first for the
season and assisted by Ben Woodley and Captain Wayd
Pitifield.
Chatham went on and
scored a single in the second by Brett Hope and two
in the third, the first by Brett Hope and Mike
Rivard giving both those players two goals for the
night.
The Predators are back
home on Saturday September 12, when they host
LaSalle. Game time begins at
7:45 pm. |
