Petrolia Squires vs Tavistock Royals

Jason Polera had a big night earning 5 points after scoring 4 goals and 1 assist in the 12 - 7 win over the Royals at home Friday night.  Scott Hull scored 2 goals and Carson Simpson, Brad Cooper, Jeremiah Goodacre, Danny Larocque, Chris McPhail and Kevin Verburg each scored singles to round out the numbers.

Tavistock goal scores were singles by Mike Saunders, Dan Berwick, Andrew Oesch, Mark Jennings, Ben Ruthig, Jason Walsh and Reid Yantzi.

Petrolia led 5 - 3 after the first, 8 - 5 after two periods of play and added the Squires pulled even further by adding 4 goals in the third with Tavistock adding 2.

Chris Houle earned the win for the Squries with a total of 44 saves.  Tavistock's goaltending duties were shared by Blake Scherer allowing 5 goals on 30 shots and James Dupei allowing 7 goals on 15.

Petrolia went 5 for 10 on the powerplay, Tavistock went 4 for 14.

Petrolia is back in action at home on Friday December 11 when they host Milverton at 8:00 pm.
