Petrolia Squires vs Lucan/Ilderton

The Squires travelled to Lucan on Saturday and came home with a 6 - 4 win over the Jets in WOAA Senior AA South Divisional finals.

After the first period of play the Squires went up 3 - 1 with goals by Kyle Gould, Greg Bailey (powerplay) and Ryan Chapman.  Jeremiah Goodacre earned 2 assists and Ryan Chapman, James Edgar and Greg Baily each had single.  Ryan Fletcher scored for the Jets.

Second period saw each side scoring 2 goals with Ryan Chapman assisted by Chris McPhail scoring the Squires first goal and Kyle Gould scoring the second with Aaron Brand and Ryan Chapman assisting.  Darrin MacDonald and Rob Silver scored for the Jets.

Third period saw the Jets narrow the gap on a goal by Joey Pikul.  Late in the period the Squires scored their second powerplay goal of the night with Ryan Chapman scoring his second assisted by Aaron Brand.  Action continued and the Squires held off the attack and took the win to tie up the series at two games apiece.

Darryl Foster earned the win with a total of 36 saves, K.J. Robinson took the loss making 33 saves.

Game 5 is back in Petrolia on Friday March 19 at the Greenwood Rec Centre with a puck drop at 8:00 pm.
Game 6 is in Lucan Saturday Mar 20 at 7:30 and if necessary game 7 will be played in Petrolia on March 21st at 7:30 pm.
