Petrolia Squires vs Thedford
Heading into the third
period both sides were even however that changed when
the Squires fired in 5 unanswered goals to take a 7 - 2
win over the Thedford Dirty Dogs.
Thedford led 1 - 0 after the first period and the
Squires tied it up in the second then took the lead.
In the last minute of play in the second Thedford tied
things up with a single goal. Jason Polera and
Criag Laframboise scored for the
Squires. Both Thedford
goals were scored by Kaylan Balcom the first on a
powerplay.
In the third period the Squires took the lead and never
looked back when Aaron Brand scored what turned out to
be the winning goal. Craig Laframboise added two
more in the third for a game total of three for a hat
trick. The remaining two goals were scored by Brad
Hull (PP) and Brad Cooper.
The Squires outshot Thedford
58 - 36.
Darryl Foster took the win in net for the Squires.
Jeff Baker took the loss
Not in the lineup this night were Ryan Chapman, Dan
Veenema and Kevin Verburg each received 1 game
suspensions from last week's tilt against the
Tillsonburg Vipers.
The Squires sits in second
place in the South Division (W6 - L2 - 12pts) 2
games back from first place Tillsonburg. (W7 - L3 -
14pts)
The Squires are on a 4 game
winning streak and they look to keep the streak alive
when they take to the road next week (Fri Nov 27)
to Goderich. They are back in town on Friday Dec 4
when they host Tavistock. Game time 8:00 pm. |
