Sarnia vs London Bandits:

This game was important as the Bandits were coming off a loss from last weekend, compliments of the Sting, and needed to pull off a win to stay close to the Sting in the standings. The first period saw both sides play a cautious game as no goals were recorded in the first. The Bandits were able to draw first blood though, but Sarnia tied it up off the stick of Alex MacEachern helped out by Jeff Noppen  and Ryan Jennings. With continued pressure London managed to get a second goal on the powerplay with a minute left in the second period to go up 2-1. The Bandits remained on top until 6:18 of the third period when Sarnia tied it up on a nice goal from Justin Stymest assisted by Viktor Kovacs.
Ben Johnson played well in net and made key saves late in the game to secure the 2-2 tie.

Sarnia vs Woodstock Navy Vets:

The Sting traveled to Woodstock to play the high scoring Navy Vets and this game saw fireworks right from the opening faceoff. Both sides skated hard throughout the first period producing no scoring. Woodstock managed to notch the only goal of the second and at the start of the third it was 1-0 for the Vets. Third period action saw Woodstock go up by two only to have the Sting pull within one on a nice goal from Derek D'Andrea helped out by Chris Taylor, but 20 seconds later Woodstock went back up by two. Not to be outdone, the Sting came back to within one, a minute later on a beauty goal from Trevor Crawford assisted by Justin Stymest. At the 14:11 mark the Sting tied it up on a goal from Jeff Schroeter on a nice feed from Alex MacEachern and David Sparks. The game started to get rough but the boys wanted this one badly and managed to take the lead on a goal off the stick of Jordan McBeath from Taylor and Sparks. As the period wore down Woodstock threw everything they had at Sarnia's netminder Zac Liapiatt, who played a solid game in goal. As the final seconds ticked off the clock the Sting skated away with a well deserved 4-3 win.
